Where i can find RSGallery2 modules for joomla! 2.5

is there any hope, i was search without any results!!!

An alpha version of the RSGallery2 Items module for RSGallery2 v3.x on Joomla 2.5.x is attached. It can show the latest images, random images, most voted on, highest average vote, etc.

It is an alpha version, that means it's only tested on my local computer (PHP 5.2.9, Apache on Windows, Joomla 1.5.26) and only the "vertical" style is working well enough to try. Added to that, perhaps some things will change...

So it's a start, but it's not "finished"... you can try it if you want to (and if you have feedback... let me know)

I've decided to go a different route than the package posted here, I'd rather have a number of different modules, each for its own goal. In the end the "horizontal/vertical" display is more easily done that way, and a user can choose which module to install instead of installing an all-in-one.

The first ones are ready to be tested/tried: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/rsgallery2/frs/ (mod_rsgallery2_random_images and mod_rsgallery2_latest_images). The others are waiting on my harddrive to be finished ;-). These are: highest votes, latest comments, most comments, most hits, most votes. I'll add "latest galleries" to that list. They'll be announced on this forum when they're all done ;-)

These are for Joomla 2.5.x. (don't know who/what Joomla XTC is though)

The thumb dimensions displayed in the module are indeed the thumb dimension as given in the RSGallery2 Control Panel at the time of the image upload, or at the time of thumb regeneration. The code could/might be changed to use for example the display image and then give some dimensions on how it should display in the img tag. However, I don't see me doing that now, other things go first. If you give it a try and get stuck somewhere, post what you were doing and I'll try to help though.

By the way, if you like the module posted on this page, there is no need to uninstall it, you can just use it. The modules use different names so they can co-exist.

Who want to test the attach latest galleries module? I won't have time for thourough testing this weekend, so perhaps someone else will try?

Installed and working bug-free as far as I can tell (on J2.5). It also appears to present identically to the alpha version (changelog noted).

The test site is under development. I'll send you a PM with a login so you can see the RSGallery2 executions if you wish.

Ohh... CSS styling still gives me headaches sometimes  I use the Mozilla Firefox addon Firebug (https://getfirebug.com/) to help find out what styling I should change and in which file to change it. It is even possible to test new styling while you're inspecting elements by changing things.

Thumb spacing
For example, with Firebug you can find out that the images are within a table with class mod_rsgallery2_latest_galleries_table and in each table cell holds a div with class mod_rsgallery2_latest_images-shadow (okay, that name should've been changed to mod_rsgallery2_latest_galleries-shadow) which in turn holds a link (the "a" element) and that one holds the image (the "img" element). So lot's of things that one could style.

The table cell already has some styling (file: /JOOMLAROOT/modules/mod_rsgallery2_latest_galleries/css/mod_rsgallery2_latest_galleries.css):

Now http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_padding.asp is quite helpfull in understanding how padding works, we could change that padding line to
    padding: 10px;
and have some spacing all around the table cell (and thus around the thumb). Or set it to
    padding: 0 7px 0 0;
and get only 7px to the right. I'm sure you get the idea and figure out this way exactly what you want!

Image size
Just realised this: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp, the img tag can have CSS styling that affects its height, so take the same file as above and find
div.mod_rsgallery2_latest_galleries img {
    border: 1px solid #A9A9A9;

}
and change it to, for example,
div.mod_rsgallery2_latest_galleries img {
    border: 1px solid #A9A9A9;
    float: left;
    height: 50px;
}
The height attribute was added.
Should implement that as an option in the module, it's way easier than I could think of yesterday ;-)

Create a second row of gallery thumbs
With the way it's setup right now there is a table displaying the images. What you want could be done via floats (but I had "an argument" in trying to do that, since I couldn't get it to work as I wanted the first try) and via a given number that the site admin could indicate that there can be a maximum of n images per row. Let me think about that and try some things...

New try at the Latest Gallery module: more options, see for yourself ;-) (Again, I tried every option, but there were so many combination that I hope I did not miss anything in such short time. Did not check the View Access levels yet, that's for a new day...)

- For image spacing, see previous answer, that still is true.
- Image size can be chosen now: the thumb/display/original image, with a limitation on height/with/both height and with/neither (but make sure that if you have 100x100 images that you don't use a size of 200, the image will stretch)
- "second row" is implemented, well actually, user no longer gives number of images, but number of rows and number of columns :-)

newly attached module can do more :-) but you can also hang on to the one you're using.

Wishlist comments are welcome, but keep in mind that this is volunteer work, cannot do everything I (or others) want, but it's fun to share ideas. In this case scene66' questions brought some new ideas and they're implemented now, I think you get the idea ;-)
