Possible template clash ?
« on: March 17, 2013, 03:43:35 AM »
I dont know anything about coding and css and this kind of thing.

I have 3.2.0 on my site and it doesnt quite work properly. When Im on the single image display, the numbers appear in a long vertical column, followed by next and last, and then it shows the picture, and then the numbers again. Its asif inbetween every number there's a break, and the numbers are bullet pointed.

If I have say 15 photos in a gallery, users end up having to scroll down to see the actual picture.

As I said before I dont know about this sort of stuff, but I would ASSUME it is a CSS clash between the coding for this and the coding for the template I am using.

Im on Joomla 2.5.3 (out of date, i know) and I'm using the template Cloudbase 2.0 (ca_cloudbase2_j25) which uses Gantry framework...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help before I have to change galleries. Updating Joomla is not an option for the time being, and changing templates wouldn't be possible. I can link to the site if requested. Ill do anything to get this working.

Thanks

A beginner myself, at least i would like to look at your error on your web site. Can't promise to solve it though ;-)

http://keighleyaircadets.co.uk/index.php/squadron-gallery

there you can find the galleries. It all looks fine. You choose one and it shows all the thumbnails with titles, still all looks fine. You click an individual picture and then you get a column of
Start
Prev
1
2
3
4
......
Next
End

Then it shows the picture, then it repeats the column again. Looking at other peoples sites it should be horizontal, not a vertical column, so you shouldnt have to scroll down to see the image.

Thanks for offering to help

Quick response: see http://www.rsgallery2.nl/display_and_templates/problem_pagination_16730.msg43510.html#msg43510, it's missing CSS styling in the template.
With a little boy in the house I don't spend as much time on RSG2 anymore.

I still like RSG2, if you do too, please think about how you can invest some of your time in RSG2... the one remaining coding volunteer (Whazzup) can use your help!
