RSgallery2 modules -help
« on: November 21, 2008, 03:46:49 PM »
Is it possible for someone to help me out displaying the images horizontal and not vertical as most of the modules are build now?

I'm using Joomla 1.5.8 and RSGallery2 - version 2.00.0 (SVN 802)

I'm interested in the following modules: mod_rsg2_rated and mod_rsg2_voted.

Thanks

Hey, i have developed llatest images module. In that module number of images, and number of images in one row can be configured. If you like you can have a look and modify rated and voted accordingly.

I'm not sure if I should reply to such an old thread, but what the heck.

You mention here a Latest Images module. Is this module available? I do not see it in the list of RSGallery2 extensions on the Joomla site or anywhere here. I would like to be able to put a module on the front page of my site that would display a few random images (thumbnails), but I don't believe I will allow voting so that eliminates most of the modules available there. I would also like to do something more than just random images, but I guess I could just change the location it points to when I create a new gallery.

If there is a Latest Images module avaiable I would sure appreciate it. Or if there is a way to do it with the RSGallery2 component could someone clue me into that?

Thanks,
Ed

Hi ecroson,

On JoomlaCode you can find more modules and plugings:
- http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/rsgallery2/frs/ (this is the RSGallery2 project)

Most of them I have never used, so I cannot tell if they work on Joomla 1.5.x, or only in legacy mode or only for Joomla 1.0.x. If you have the time to try modules and report back what is and isn't working with Joomla 1.5.x (legacy) I'm sure many people can appreciate that.
Suddenly on maternity leave: our baby boy was born a few weeks early, he's doing well now.
For the next couple of weeks I won't available, for true emergences pm locutusweb please.

I hope that RSGallery2 users will help each other out in the mean time.

I will try some of them out this weekend and let you know what I find.

I wonder about the option in the component to display latest images. How hard would it be to convert that part of the program to its own module? Since that is something that can be turned on and off and displayed on its own section of the page, it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to turn that into a module.

Just a thought.

Thanks,
Ed
