Learn English as foreign language
« on: May 08, 2007, 04:57:13 AM »
I want to learn English well and I have found some useful language learnning sites, [mod edit, no links to commercial off topic websites] I know that if I want to learn English well, these are far from enough. So I hope to gain some help here. Is there anyone esle like to give me some other suggestions or recommendations? Any help would be much appreciated!

yes, you can use the british national corpus here you can search among thousands of sentences whether certain word combination are used often or how they are used

also the BBC has some great English learning pages http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/ (mostly for pronunciation)

and also for the pronunciation of words you can use http://www.howjsay.com/

good luck
